CHARLES R. GREEN Mr. Green, the managing partner of the Firm, was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1976 and has devoted his practice to the areas of municipal and redevelopment law, finance, litigation and real estate law. During his career he has developed substantial experience in commercial finance and real estate matters. Since 1987, Mr. Green has focused on the practice of municipal and redevelopment law, litigation and real estate law. He presently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Victorville and the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Cathedral City. He has had significant experience in advising clients in the array of issues which confront cities. He has, in addition, considerable experience concerning the adoption and implementation of redevelopment plans, drafting land use documents and property disposition agreements, assisting in the structuring of complex development projects, and solid waste matters. He has served as litigation counsel in a number of cases involving significant environmental and redevelopment issues, both at the trial and appellate levels, and in a number of condemnation and other public agency related litigation matters. Mr. Green currently serves, with Mr. de Bortnowsky, as counsel to the Victor Valley Economic Development Agency, a joint powers authority formed by the County of San Bernardino, the Cities of Victorville and Hesperia and the Town of Apple Valley to undertake the redevelopment of the former George Air Force Base, now known as the Southern California International Airport. He is the lead attorney for the Firm in representation of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Green has participated in the presentation of seminars concerning issues of relevance to California cities and redevelopment agencies and has actively been involved in the legislative process leading up to the adoption of Assembly Bill 419 pertaining to the redevelopment of military facilities subject to closure. Mr. Green's education includes: B.A., University of California at Los Angeles, 1972; J.D., University of California at Los Angeles, 1975. Mr. Green is currently a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Community Redevelopment Association. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem in the Los Angeles Superior Court and is a member of the State Bar Panel of Special Masters, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court. |
